The Bank of Cyprus Visa credit card
Founded in 1899, the Bank of Cyprus Group was originally known as the Nicosia Savings Bank – the first Cypriot banking institution. The Bank of Cyprus UK, as part of the group, was established in north London and now has branches in London, Manchester and Birmingham. A Corporate Business Banking Centre, also operated by it, caters for small and medium-sized businesses.
Features of the Bank of Cyprus Visa credit card
On opening an account, the Bank of Cyprus Visa card has an introductory offer on all balance transfers for a limited period. Additional attractions are that cardholders receive travel accident insurance (including family), if travel tickets are paid for with this credit card. Cardholders can manage their account online and there is no annual fee.
It should be noted that while the introductory rate for transferred balances may seem attractive, this does not apply to purchases. Therefore, unless you simply want to switch a large balance from a more expensive card, and not make additional purchases, you should research other credit cards available. The absence of a cash-back or loyalty scheme is yet more reason to check out the opposition.
